Happy Four Months

Jon and I have been married four months today. I briefly mentioned it to Jon today just to let him know I'm glad we've made it this far. :) hehe On the way home from work I was on the phone like always planning on what to have for dinner. I was craving breakfast so I asked Jon to get started. He said he'd start whipping it up right now. I got home and went into the house and instantly smelled garlic. I thought to myself, "Damn it Jon why are you cooking garlic bread, I wanted breakfast!" Then I looked in the oven and Jon had gotten my favorite pizza from Papa Murphy's. Chicken garlic. I didn't put the pieces together until he pulled out the ice bucket and the chilled bottle of juice. How cute is that! He planned it all by himself. He's so cute and I love him to death. :)

Labor Day

Labor Day 2009 has dwindled to an end and boy was it fun! The parade was fantastic, the Sham Battle was fun as always (even though it never changes and the indians never win), and the food was great as always. The start of the holiday season has begun and now it's time to get ready for Halloween! :)

Oh Duchess...

When Jon and I first got Duchess we thought she was a very bright, independent, and fun loving puppy. Well..she is all of those things..and then some. She is also loopy, clumsy, crazy, and just plain weird! She trips when she walk, slips on the floor, falls off the bed, eats weird things...the list could go on and on. Even though she's outrageously weird, we still love her. She's a constant form of entertainment and we wouldn't get rid of her for anything :)

Fall is Fast Approaching

I can't believe it's almost fall. I love it! Soon Jon and I will be raking leaves and the dogs will be running through them messing them up and Jon and I will get grumpy but laugh it off because that's what dogs do. I've already started decorating for fall by putting my scarecrow welcome sign on my front door. I just hope it doesn't blow off in a storm. Someday we'll be able to afford a screen door to put out front. As soon as Labor Day is here it will start the holiday season! One holiday in every month until May. Gotta love it. :) I hope everyone can watch the leaves change and appreciate life's beauty. I sure do :)

Kenny Rocks!

Jon and I went to the Kenny Chesney concert last night. It was amazing as always. It was loud, fast, and fun. I even got Jon to dance a little bit. Not much though. I grooved the whole time! Someday I'm going to be able to buy the really expensive tickets where I can stand right next to the stage. How cool would that be! I could be close enough to touch Kenny! The 106 degree weather was the only thing that made us grumpy before the show. But we didn't have to stand around in it for longer than an hour. Jon liked it better then he thought he would. Which was good cuz if he didn't like it I wouldn't take him again. But he thought it was much better then he thought it would be. Kenny rocks! :)

New Beginnings

Well, I've been looking for a new job for a while due to many factors. One being money issues. Jon and I need more of it. Two, benefits we need. I haven't been to the dentist due to my current job not offering it anymore and Jon and I have health things going on that need tests done that I'm sick of paying for. Also, holidays and weekends have put a strain on me and Jon. I always have to work holidays and at least one weekend shift. With a new job I wouldn't have those problems. I've been looking for a few months and had a few interviews. One job I didn't get, and another one I did! I don't know how I got the job seeing as I had the swine flu during the interview. Hehe I honestly can't remember a lot of what I said. However, whatever I did say made it possible for them to like me enough to hire me. I'm really excited about beginning something new but also sad about ending something I've been doing for four years. I just have to remember to think about all the positives of my decision so I don't dwell on the negatives. Wish me luck! :)

And Now We Can Relax.....

After all the great fun and exciting moments from our wedding and honeymoon, Jon and I can finally relax. It feels good to just sit at home and do nothing all night long. I admit some of the laundry has been neglected but I will get back on track soon. We absolutely loved every minute of the wedding and Hawaii. We wouldn't have had it any other way. I'm watching Sleepless in Seattle, great movie, and Jon is back to doing homework or whatever it is he does in his room. I wouldn't have our life any other way either... :)

Let The Fun Begin!

One week to go! Soon all the friends and relatives will be coming up to see Jon and I get married. Everyone has done so much for us. It's unbelievable how many people care about us. I can't express my thanks enough. The fun begins next Friday with the family dinner that Jon's parents are cooking up for us. I can't wait and I just hope that no one tells any embarassing stories. Then it's time for wedding. I plan on spending the eight hours before the ceremony lounging in my yard playing with my dogs seeing as I will be leaving them for six days. Poor Leppy is going to have a puppy brain clot because we are attached at the hip. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping everything goes smoothly and if it doesn't I need to remember that we are making memories. :)

The Mighty Duchess

Jon and I took the dogs to the Basin Hill here in Wellsville for a little run today. Leppy dove right into the canal and got wet and Frankie reluctantly followed suit. Duchess went in once but didn't like it much I gather because she never went in again. After ten minutes of that the dogs ran up into a field and started running around. Jon would throw the ball and Leppy would either lose it and wander around finding it or he would watch where it went and bring it back. After a few minutes of that Jon and I noticed that Duchess wasn't around us playing. We looked around and found her far off chasing a butterfly. She would jump towards it and try to pounce on it but it kept getting away from her. Finally Duchess made her move. She got it in her line of sight, ran towards the ferocious butterfly, jumped up and arched her back, and got it. The little butterfly didn't stand a chance. Duchess munched on the poor insect until it was safely in her belly. Then wandered back to us with a look on her face like she had just slayed a mighty beast. These dogs are a constant form of entertainment. They keep Jon and I laughing that's for sure. :)

Oh Memories

I was looking through some photos of Leppy when he was a puppy and I'm amazed at how fast he's grown up and how big he is now. When I first got him I was told that he was the biggest of the litter and that his name was Monster. When I held him for the first time I knew I had to have him. Thanks Mom for letting him ruin your carpet!

I renamed him Leppy because I'm 1/1000 Irish or something like that and he had to be named after a Leprachaun.

Jon thinks I love Leppy more than I do him. I will admit that I love my puppy more than the other two psycho puppies I have but I love both Leppy and Jon the same. Leppy calms me down after a rough day and is always waiting at the door for me when I get home from wherever I happened to go that day.

How could I not love this cute face?
