Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving this year was super fun at my mom's house. She of course did all the cooking but made it sound like we did all the work. Who is she kidding? She's the mastermind here. It was super delicious and extremely enjoyable

Here is little Gage sleeping before the big feast. He will soon learn that he needs to sleep after the feast instead of before. But right now, he's too little to care and he will sleep when he darn well pleases.

Gage can't sit up very well yet even in his super cool chair that is supposed to help him learn how. He mostly just leans over all the time. Pretty darn cute.

Here's my mom carving the bird. Poor bird. It died so we could eat it, and oh was it so delicious.

And of course here is me...acting excited about getting my picture taken and awaiting the deliciousness that is Thanksgiving. What a fun day with family.

We Are Thankful For....

*Finally having Jon done with chemo so we can get those worries out of our head
*Little baby Gage and all of his cuteness
*Puppies that guard us from everything..including the wind or fairy tale creatures that we can't see
*Our families that are there to help us when we need them and offer comfort and companionship
*Never having to worry about a roof over our heads or food on the table
*Jobs that we know we will have for a long time
*Great TV shows that let us escape reality for a few hours a week
*The invention of water aerobics so I can exercise without hurting my back
*Fun co-workers that make the workday bearable
*Diapers
*Pizza that we can eat whenever we crave it
*Clean water to drink without worry of disease
*Knowing that Jon and I can bicker without it getting out of control--because seriously...sometimes it's just fun to pick a fight
*Snow for the holidays
*Great friends that you can go to just to chat
*Thanksgiving dinner because it's oh so delicious!

Tis the Season!

It's that time of year again! I love it when the holidays roll around. Thanksgiving is just around the corner and soon we'll have the smell of turkey, freshly baked rolls, and pumpkin pie emanating from the kitchen. Not to mention good old fashioned family fun. It really can't get any better than that.

Soon after, Christmas will be staring us in the face! Christmas music, movies, the smell of cinnamon in any store you walk into...it's so great! I enjoy the fact that I don't have to stress too much about buying gifts for Christmas. It makes the holiday more down to earth and helps me realize that it's not just a day for presents, but it's definitely a day for giving.

Sick Baby Gage

Well, I got Gage up to get ready for the baby sitter today and his crib was saturated with....who knows what. He smelled like puke so I think that's what it was. Might have been sweat too. I don't really know. I got him dressed and gave him a little wash so he didn't stink and handed him off to Jon so he could feed him. Five minutes later Jon's walking into the bathroom where I was brushing my teeth with puke all down his belly and Gage in his arms with puke all the way down to his toes. "Here, change him" is what Jon said. Guess he couldn't handle puke all over him. Welcome to my world husband!! So I cleaned Gage up...again. I finished getting ready for work and was ready to bundle him up when I sniffed....uh oh. He pooped. Odd for this little fellow as he always poops at night. So I changed his bum....diarrhea. Ugh! He's seriously ill. So Jon and I pulled out the Treehouse Pediatric cheat book of illnesses and with the symptoms he has Gage has a virus. So I stayed home today. Poor little tyke. He's been asleep for almost 3 hours straight! Guess his body needs to seriously recuperate. I'm on my second load of baby puked on laundry. Hope that's all I have today. Wish me and baby Gage luck!
