Little One on the Way!

Well, we did it! Baby Fielding is happily snug in my belly awaiting its arrival into the world. It's due to arrive July 18, 2010. Jon and I are really excited and are enjoying every second of the pregnancy so far. Jon is a proud papa already. He has a picture of our first ultrasound in his wallet and he shares it with everyone. We can't wait! :)

No Big Win in Vegas

Well we didn't win in Vegas this year. Guess that wasn't the change in the air. It was nice driving home and seeing snow on the ground though. I like that bit of change. Jon was a sweetheart and put the Christmas lights on the house last night. He gave me this big old lecture on how he had to stay after work and he wouldn't be home until I got home. I was excited because that means overtime and a bigger paycheck. But, when I got home I noticed that he had fibbed and instead of working late he had put up the lights. I was super excited. He's so good to me. I didn't think I'd have those up this year. :)

A Change Is In The Air

Change is in the air. Which could mean many things. Is there snow on the way? Will Jon and I win big in Vegas this year? Will there be happiness during the holidays instead of grumpiness? I don't know the answers yet but I can't wait to find out. The holidays are upon us and this year Jon and I aren't buying gifts for millions of people because we just can't. It took me a while to understand that gift giving is not mandatory, it's just a nice thing to do. It's a whole lot less stressful not having to worry about gifts this year. It's a good time to understand that family is what is most important and that quality time is what most people will remember years from now. Presents are just an added bonus :)

Happy Four Months

Jon and I have been married four months today. I briefly mentioned it to Jon today just to let him know I'm glad we've made it this far. :) hehe On the way home from work I was on the phone like always planning on what to have for dinner. I was craving breakfast so I asked Jon to get started. He said he'd start whipping it up right now. I got home and went into the house and instantly smelled garlic. I thought to myself, "Damn it Jon why are you cooking garlic bread, I wanted breakfast!" Then I looked in the oven and Jon had gotten my favorite pizza from Papa Murphy's. Chicken garlic. I didn't put the pieces together until he pulled out the ice bucket and the chilled bottle of juice. How cute is that! He planned it all by himself. He's so cute and I love him to death. :)

Labor Day

Labor Day 2009 has dwindled to an end and boy was it fun! The parade was fantastic, the Sham Battle was fun as always (even though it never changes and the indians never win), and the food was great as always. The start of the holiday season has begun and now it's time to get ready for Halloween! :)

Oh Duchess...

When Jon and I first got Duchess we thought she was a very bright, independent, and fun loving puppy. Well..she is all of those things..and then some. She is also loopy, clumsy, crazy, and just plain weird! She trips when she walk, slips on the floor, falls off the bed, eats weird things...the list could go on and on. Even though she's outrageously weird, we still love her. She's a constant form of entertainment and we wouldn't get rid of her for anything :)

Fall is Fast Approaching

I can't believe it's almost fall. I love it! Soon Jon and I will be raking leaves and the dogs will be running through them messing them up and Jon and I will get grumpy but laugh it off because that's what dogs do. I've already started decorating for fall by putting my scarecrow welcome sign on my front door. I just hope it doesn't blow off in a storm. Someday we'll be able to afford a screen door to put out front. As soon as Labor Day is here it will start the holiday season! One holiday in every month until May. Gotta love it. :) I hope everyone can watch the leaves change and appreciate life's beauty. I sure do :)

Kenny Rocks!

Jon and I went to the Kenny Chesney concert last night. It was amazing as always. It was loud, fast, and fun. I even got Jon to dance a little bit. Not much though. I grooved the whole time! Someday I'm going to be able to buy the really expensive tickets where I can stand right next to the stage. How cool would that be! I could be close enough to touch Kenny! The 106 degree weather was the only thing that made us grumpy before the show. But we didn't have to stand around in it for longer than an hour. Jon liked it better then he thought he would. Which was good cuz if he didn't like it I wouldn't take him again. But he thought it was much better then he thought it would be. Kenny rocks! :)

New Beginnings

Well, I've been looking for a new job for a while due to many factors. One being money issues. Jon and I need more of it. Two, benefits we need. I haven't been to the dentist due to my current job not offering it anymore and Jon and I have health things going on that need tests done that I'm sick of paying for. Also, holidays and weekends have put a strain on me and Jon. I always have to work holidays and at least one weekend shift. With a new job I wouldn't have those problems. I've been looking for a few months and had a few interviews. One job I didn't get, and another one I did! I don't know how I got the job seeing as I had the swine flu during the interview. Hehe I honestly can't remember a lot of what I said. However, whatever I did say made it possible for them to like me enough to hire me. I'm really excited about beginning something new but also sad about ending something I've been doing for four years. I just have to remember to think about all the positives of my decision so I don't dwell on the negatives. Wish me luck! :)

And Now We Can Relax.....

After all the great fun and exciting moments from our wedding and honeymoon, Jon and I can finally relax. It feels good to just sit at home and do nothing all night long. I admit some of the laundry has been neglected but I will get back on track soon. We absolutely loved every minute of the wedding and Hawaii. We wouldn't have had it any other way. I'm watching Sleepless in Seattle, great movie, and Jon is back to doing homework or whatever it is he does in his room. I wouldn't have our life any other way either... :)

Let The Fun Begin!

One week to go! Soon all the friends and relatives will be coming up to see Jon and I get married. Everyone has done so much for us. It's unbelievable how many people care about us. I can't express my thanks enough. The fun begins next Friday with the family dinner that Jon's parents are cooking up for us. I can't wait and I just hope that no one tells any embarassing stories. Then it's time for wedding. I plan on spending the eight hours before the ceremony lounging in my yard playing with my dogs seeing as I will be leaving them for six days. Poor Leppy is going to have a puppy brain clot because we are attached at the hip. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping everything goes smoothly and if it doesn't I need to remember that we are making memories. :)

The Mighty Duchess

Jon and I took the dogs to the Basin Hill here in Wellsville for a little run today. Leppy dove right into the canal and got wet and Frankie reluctantly followed suit. Duchess went in once but didn't like it much I gather because she never went in again. After ten minutes of that the dogs ran up into a field and started running around. Jon would throw the ball and Leppy would either lose it and wander around finding it or he would watch where it went and bring it back. After a few minutes of that Jon and I noticed that Duchess wasn't around us playing. We looked around and found her far off chasing a butterfly. She would jump towards it and try to pounce on it but it kept getting away from her. Finally Duchess made her move. She got it in her line of sight, ran towards the ferocious butterfly, jumped up and arched her back, and got it. The little butterfly didn't stand a chance. Duchess munched on the poor insect until it was safely in her belly. Then wandered back to us with a look on her face like she had just slayed a mighty beast. These dogs are a constant form of entertainment. They keep Jon and I laughing that's for sure. :)

Oh Memories

I was looking through some photos of Leppy when he was a puppy and I'm amazed at how fast he's grown up and how big he is now. When I first got him I was told that he was the biggest of the litter and that his name was Monster. When I held him for the first time I knew I had to have him. Thanks Mom for letting him ruin your carpet!

I renamed him Leppy because I'm 1/1000 Irish or something like that and he had to be named after a Leprachaun.

Jon thinks I love Leppy more than I do him. I will admit that I love my puppy more than the other two psycho puppies I have but I love both Leppy and Jon the same. Leppy calms me down after a rough day and is always waiting at the door for me when I get home from wherever I happened to go that day.

How could I not love this cute face?

Kenny's Greatest Hits II

Hey just letting everyone know that the hottest man in country music history has just come out with a new cd! I have it and it's great! He is so sexy.

Bridal Beauty

I got my bridal pictures done today! I was nervous all morning wondering if they were even going to turn out okay. Jon went with my to get my hair done because one of his friends was nice enough to do it. It took two hours to curl it all and ten minutes to pin it up. After that Jon and I went home so I could wash my face and put my makeup on. He was so helpful trying to get everything ready for me. He acted like a mother hen wanting to make sure everything went the way I wanted it to go. My mom and I left for Ogden and drove to the White House, a reception center, and we got me all dolled up and looking pretty. I'm horrible at smiling on command. They always turn out looking phony and stupid. I did my best and from the pictures that were shown to me these are going to turn out beautifully! I still can't believe I can turn out looking so pretty. I can't wait for everyone to see. :)

It's Almost Time!

Nothing fun or exciting has happened to me and Jon lately. We are really glad it's warming up outside so we can do yardwork and go for rides on the Harley. We are almost all geared up for the wedding and we are for sure ready for the honeymoon in Hawaii. I am almost excited enough to not be afraid of the plane ride over there! We both can't wait!

Case of the Sniffles

Jon and I unfortunately got a cold together this weekend. He has taken 1 1/2 sick days so far because he feels quite crappy and I luckily had taken the time off anyway and have been lounging around on the couch for the last three days. We did something stupid yesterday and went out and played in the snow for a while. It snowed two feet! I couldn't pass up playing with my dogs in the snow because they have so much fun. Duchess would burrow into the snow, walk a few feet, and then pop back up. It was very funny to watch. Being in the cold for an hour and a half shoveling and playing probably did more harm than good to our cold virus. It probably added fuel to the little bastards fire. Evil virus. Oh well. I don't have to work again until Friday so I will be sleeping and eating soup as much as I can and Jon will do the same. Wish us luck! :)

Dogs vs. Kids

I don't have kids yet but I sometimes believe that my dogs are just as bad as a child. Duchess was laying on her blanket and she started chewing on the blanket. I said, "HEY" and she quickly stopped and looked at me with eyes that said, "I wasn't doing anything." It reminded me so much of the looks that my nephew and niece give in the same type of situation that I started laughing and wondered how similar dogs really are to kids. My dogs need just as much attention as children do, and they all fight for the attention as well. It's funny and something to think about. :)

Dress Fitting Fiasco

Today my mom and I went to get my dress fitted so we can finally take it home. The lady who helped me is so funny. She is this short asian lady who will do anything to please all of her customers. My mom and I had gone in a few weeks ago and she was going to cut out all the bustles that were making my dress look extremely frilly. We arrived today and she hadn't got it done due to their busy prom orders. She took one look at us and ran in the back, grabbed my dress, and hurriedly cut out all the bustles. I went into the changing room with her and we were putting on the dress. All of a sudden she froze and said, "Ohhhh shit." This coming from this short asian lady had me smiling a bit. She leaned her head against my back and said, "I took the bustles out of the wrong dress." This wasn't my dress! She was mortified that she had done this because the dress she had changed was a rushed order and it was going to take her 2 hours to fix it! The whole time I was there she kept muttering, "I can't believe I did this, I am so stupid." I felt bad for the poor lady. I hope my dress doesn't get the axe without me knowing. I will go in again next week and try again. :)

How Embarassing

So tonight I was watching the Amazing Race in the living room and Jon was doing homework in his room. Leppy came in and we started cuddling and I started singing a little song for him because I'm weird and I do things like that. Out of nowhere Jon comes in and caught me! I started laughing so hard because if I walked in on him singing to a dog I'd probably think he was crazy. I'm sure that's what he was thinking too. We both laughed for a good minute and then I explained to him that Leppy liked it when I sang to him and Jon being the good man that he is said, "I know, it's okay." I was so embarassed! That won't stop me from doing it again though. Leppy likes it :)

Jon Has Spring Fever

Jon needs to get out of the house. He is going a bit nutty. He is acting bizarre at times and it's driving me nutty. He wants to get out and ride his Harley so bad. This past weekend he learned that my dad took his Harley out for a ride and Jon got so jealous. He would have done it too but the gravel in front of the garage is covered in a layer of ice and the Harley would never make it out. Not to mention that the gate is frozen to the ground. I wish it would stop being winter so Jon could have some fun. Hopefully next month will be better. But for now Jon has to stay inside doing homework and doing his dishes. :)

Friday Date Night

Jon and I have a new date night each Friday. Due to having little money we decided that an extravagent date night was out of the question until we win the lottery. (The lottery is Jon's idea not mine.) So every night we go out and get ice cream, sit in the car or in the building, and people watch. It is very interesting seeing how different people interact with each other. I often wonder if Jon and I look as goofy as some people do. Probably seeing as we are such dorks! I love date night and love that we can still go out and have fun even if all we do is go get ice cream and be with each other. :)

Kenny or Bust

I have recently become obsessed with buying Kenny Chesney tickets. I check his website everyday and I even joined his fanclub in order to buy tickets earlier than the rest of the world. I really want to go and it's my goal to buy tickets as soon as they go on sale!! :)
