So now we're playing the waiting game after another crazy weekend. The baby doc told us that I have preeclampsia and had to be on bedrest for the weekend. I don't do that well. Good thing Nancy was around to keep me grounded. I and the baby got monitored Sunday night for an hour or so and everything was fine except for my high blood pressure. I go to the doctor again Tuesday to see if I'm getting any better or if they need to induce me. I'm on the line with this one. On one hand I'd like to wait to try and start by myself but on the other hand the anticipation and stress of waiting is really killing me! Luckily the doctor told me I could go to work part time for a few days which is keeping my mind of things a little bit. But for now we just play the waiting game....
Luckily Jon is doing remarkably well. He's just cruised through is first round of chemo without incident. He is amazing. :)

Our Crazy World
Well the name of our blog is "Our Crazy World" and it is certainly living up to its name. Usually it's just small crazy things going on in our world but of course lately it's increased its level somewhat. Our wild and crazy week filled with 8 doctor appointments is finally over with but this week starts a new adventure. Jon is shaving his head tomorrow night like he's been wanting to for a whole year now. It's not for the reason he wanted to but at least he gets to do it now. It will be quite emotional for all involved, Jon, myself, and Jon's friend Lexi who is buzzing and then shaving his head. Jon's chemo starts on Tuesday and we all have butterflies about that one because we don't know how it will go. The unknowing is the worst thing ever. The rest of the week we're playing by ear since we won't know if Jon will be sick or not. Hopefully he won't be and it will turn out quite well. We'll just wait and see. We're still staying quite positive so nobody worry. Everything will be alright. :)

Parents Are the Best
With so many changes happening at all once in our life, I can't believe how fortunate Jon and I are to have two great sets of parents. Not only are they willing to give us emotional support but they are also very willing to drop everything they are doing and help us out. They aren't doing it because they have to, they are doing it because they GET to. There is no sense of obligation coming from any of them. They are just helping because they care and love us both. I hope Jon and I can be such great parents to our little guy as he grows up. I'm sure we will be but we have such high standards to meet. You parents have set the bar REALLY high. Maybe if we reach up on our tiptoes we can get there. :)

Duchess!
Last night Jon found 3 different pee spots on the floor, two in the babies room at seperate times and one in our bedroom. We knew it wasn't the boys because I saw them spend 30 seconds peeing before these showed up. So it had to be Duchess. We were both scratching our heads trying to figure out why Duchess would pee in the house. And then we figured it out. She's mad because Jon covered up her holes outside! So she's getting back at us by peeing inside. That little bugger. If she does it again she's going to be an outside dog. We don't like the idea of that but we can't have her peeing inside. She's seriously...bitchy. :)

We Can Always Find Hilarity
This week has definitely sucked. We're both trying to wrap our brains around this whole thing still...not sure we'll ever be able to fully. But, we can always find hilarity. Jon and I leave the dogs outside 85% of the time now that it's summer time. When we let them out Duchess lately always runs straight back behind the garage or shed. We just thought it was because she likes to pester the neighbors behind us. Jon found out otherwise today. He was pulling out of the driveway this morning to go to work and all of a sudden there is Duchess sitting by his truck. I think she was telling him, "Goodbye dad have a great day!" Jon was puzzled so he took her back in the yard and then decided to look behind the shed to see how she got out. Duchess had dug 4 holes convieniently placed so we couldn't see them. That little dog is too smart for her own good! So Jon placed wood over the holes and turned the electric fence on. Hopefully that keeps her in. God only knows how long she's been getting in and out!
Jon and I got a good chuckle out of that this morning. It feels good to laugh when you feel like crying all the time. If we have more fun like this to keep us going we just might make it through this. :)
