Go Packers!

Our Packers are going to the Super Bowl!! What an excellent game that was! We dressed Gage in his cute Green Bay Packer outfit and watched the whole game. A few times I had to mute it because I was getting a bit nervous even though we were in the lead the whole time. You just never know! But, we did it and I can't wait for the game. Take that all you people who don't have faith in my team! :)

Update on Jon

Jon went to see Dr. Bin Jacob this week. The doctor asked him if he's had any side effects from the chemo: tingling fingers, fatigue, etc. Jon told him no, that he's felt fine. Once again, this is unusual. The doc told Jon his hair and beard has come back nicely. He also checked Jon's lymph nodes and couldn't find any lumps or anything. Jon is excited and feels a little bit better about the cancer not coming back. He is still nervous about what the CT scans in April will show. So am I but I'm going to remain hopeful that they won't find anything.

So far so good though. :)

Still Alive

December:

It's been forever since I've posted anything! No worries, we're all still alive and kicking. December went by like a blur. All three of us had colds and were miserable for the most of it. Christmas was spent in Idaho with the Fielding clan. Super fun and super busy. Gage was so exhausted every day that he hardly ever fought naps or bedtime.

Gage with Santa for the first time! He did great! (He didn't really care what was going on).

Gage with all the presents Christmas morning. He was one of the first ones up!

Gage opening his present! He did pretty good all by himself. But then his mom would open it for him because she couldn't stand the anticipation any longer. :)

We started Gage on solid foods and he has loved almost everything he's eaten. Strangely he doesn't like apples. We'll keep trying though. He's been learning a bit of sign language and he signed milk once but hasn't since. We'll keep trying though!

January:

The week of New Years was exciting because our furnace went out and we had to spent a week at my parents house. Thanks mom and dad! Poor Gage had his first horrible fever while we were staying there and he kept me and the rest of the house up all night long. Poor guy. Jon slept through it of course. His fever broke the afternoon of the next day and he's been fine ever since. Except for his never ending cold that is.

Grandpa Richman got sick and passed away which really sucked because it was so unexpected. But, he's with grandma and his family now and is happy again. I will miss him a lot and think of him often.

Gage is almost crawling which is exciting and scary all at the same time. He gets onto his hands and knees and rocks back and forth. Once he starts crawling I may lose him once or twice. I don't think the dogs will let that happen though.

Our dear Duchess got out of the yard...again. She went and played with one of the evil neighbors cats and got a little too rough. The cat didn't make it. Our neighbor didn't even act like an adult in the whole situation even though we offered to pay for a vet bill (when the cat was still alive) and burying the cat after it died. The dog catcher was called. *sigh* The whole time he was here he pretty much just talked with my dad and Jon about random stuff. He even said that his dog gets out once and a while and kills cats too. He told us he'd be back to give us a fine. He hasn't been back. We think he "forgot". What are we going to do about that dog! Love her for who she is and hope she doesn't break out again. :)

That's the gist of what's happened the last two months. Can't wait for February which is just around the corner!
